Welcome to the Special Needs Database, Parent to Parent's comprehensive resource database
containing over 4,000 resources in over 100 categories. The Special
Needs Database is a user-friendly, accessible system of complete,
up-to-date information for individuals with disabilities, their families,
and professionals throughout Georgia. There is no cost to search
the database.
In addition to searching
online, families can also access resources by telephone by calling
Parent to Parent at 1-800-229-2038. An Information Specialist will
then conduct a database search for you and send you a printout.
The database includes profiles on over 4,000 organizations that provide
services to families. Most of our service provider data is included
in the online database. We will be adding several hundred more
resources to the database during the next few months. Resource information is included on advocacy,
early intervention, diagnostic and evaluation, physical therapy, speech
therapy, occupational therapy, child care centers, respite care, medicaid,
education, counseling, support groups, camps, vocational services and many
other resources.
After searching, if you do not find the resources you are seeking,
please contact us
and one of our coordinators will assist you.
Every attempt is made to update provider information regularly.
If you notice information that needs to be changed or if you want to add a
provider, please do so in the Add/Update Provider section at the bottom of
the Search Page.
Let us know if you have any comments
or suggestions regarding the Special Needs Database.
